Catch 22 - 1234 1234 (Cover)
Lyrics - Chords - C Am F G -
You, you try, you try to get by,
you’re never going to pull it off,
you shouldn't even try.
You're a wet cigarette,
you’re always second best,
they're never going to give a shit about anybody but themselves.
So you fight for them to realize,
there's more to life,
there's more to you,
there's more than meets the eye.
And when you're done, the battle's been won,
you sit back, you smile,
And this is what you hum, you hum,
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh,
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh.
1234 1234

You, you try, you try to get by,
you’re never going to pull it off,
you shouldn't even try.
You're a wet cigarette,

Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh.
1234 1234

(Years!) go by, the time it does fly,
Every single second is a moment in time,
that passes oh so quick, and it seems like nothing,
but when you're looking back, well it amounts to everything,
(Whoa) I've got myself, I've got my friends,
I've got my little family, but that's not where it ends,
This one goes out to you, it goes out to everyone,
It's in the name of honesty because life has just begun.
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh,
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh.
1234 1234

Look around little brother can you tell me what you see?
You're a big boy now, so take responsibility,
you never had it hard, but now it's getting tough,
so you (whine! whine! whine!) and you say you've had enough.
You say I'm full of shit, that I'm a hypocrite
I shouldn't talk when I can't take the advice that I give,
Well maybe you're right, but open your eyes:
the main difference here is that I (try! try! try!)

Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh.
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh.
1234 1234

Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh.
Whoa, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh.

Black Eyed Peas Can't Get Enough Video

New single from the Black Eyed Peas called "Just Can't Get Enough" now has an official video out. The video starts with a message to the victims of the Japan Tsunami disaster this year and then takes you through a very neon city that is a perfect match for the songs fast, electro style, with rapper Will-i-am as your guide. The scene gets progressively more rave-like as the song picks up. Fergie stays chill through-out the video in her hotel room.

Very cool video I found and wanted to share with you all.
Enjoy

So Shall It Be - Seth Schonfeld - Original Acoustic Guitar

Here is an original folk song I wrote along time ago during an interesting time in my life.. well high school is always crazy i guess, but Sarasota, Florida has to be about as crazy as it gets. haha. Anyway, life is still crazy so I recorded it again, this time in my house in Long Beach, California.

Musically its simple, heavy acoustic guitar. Solid down-strokes and almost dark and melodic. Kind of a soulful, emotional song with powerful vocals and a fast tempo. Lyrics are below and I will post guitar chords if requested

So Shall It Be - Seth Schonfeld

She kneeled at the same altar
In the same position as before
She begged forgiveness from the only one
Who ever cared for her

She threw her body and her soul down
From the window of the church
That swore they'd save her from her demons
And save her from her self

He wept underneath the willow tree,
That once suspended him above
The frozen water at his feet
Had never looked so tempting

He stood and paced the soggy ground
Beneath the soles of his shoes
When you've got no one you've got nothing
Got nothing left to lose.

I know that there's something greater
When i feel the spatter of the rain
Against my face
The wind blown through my hair

And I don't fucking care about a destination
Give me fire, Give me suffering
Its all the same to me
If fate should will it, Then so shall it be

If fate should will it, Then so shall it be

Shining Star - Seth Schonfeld (Original Acoustic Song)

Hey everyone!

This is one of my new folk songs I have written recently that I am very excited about. It is my original, acoustic song I wrote called "Shining Star."  My guitar is a steel string Fender acoustic with electric pick-ups built in.

Let me tell you a little about myself.
My name is Seth and I am 22. I live in Long Beach, CA now. I am from Indianapolis, Indiana and lived in Sarasota, FL for a long time. I have been playing acoustic and electric guitar for a long time and have been wrinting my own songs for many years. I've always had trouble defining my style but I have a lot of folk, indie, bluegrass and ska influences.

I am now working now finally going to be recording brand new songs and releasing the videos on my YouTube. My guitar and my music is my way of letting other people experience my rhythm and feel through the outlet of this blog and social media. I will be releasing covers of songs I like along with my own acoustic folk music. I recently recorded Nickel Creek's - A Lighthouse's Tale and  Old Crow Medicine Show's - Wagon Wheel an put them on my Tube Mogul for content sharing websites like DailyMotion, MetaCafe, Veoh, Vimeo and more.

So please check me out, comment, follow on all my sites and give feedback!! I love new fans!

-Enjoy

Nickel Creek - A Lighthouse's Tale Acoustic Guitar Cover

Just uploaded my newest acoustic cover-song I recorded. If you haven't heard it before this is "A Lighthouse's Tale" by Nickel Creek. This is my solo acoustic-guitar cover of their song. In case you haven't heard of them yet, Nickel Creek is a fantastic multi-piece bluegrass band. The fiddle and the singer compliment each other and the rest of the music so well. Hope you enjoy my guitar rendition.

Nickel Creek - A Lighthouse's Tale Cover Lyrics and Chords
Em G D
I am a Lighthouse worn by the weather and the waves
I keep my lamp lit to warn the sailors on their way
I'll tell a story, paint you a picture from my past
I was so happy but joy in this life seldom lasts

I had a keeper, he helped me warn the ships at sea
We had grown closer 'til his joy meant everything to me
And he was to marry a girl who shown with beauty and light
They loved each other, and with me watched the sunsets into nights

C G
And the waves crashing around me
C Em D
The sand slips out to sea
C G
And the winds that blow remind me
Em F#m G
Of what has been
A D
and what can never be

She'd had to leave us; my keeper, he prayed for a safe return
But when the night came, the weather to a raging storm had turned
He watched her ship fight, but in vain against the wild and terrible wind
And me so helpless, as dashed against the rocks she met her end

And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be

Then on the next day, my keeper found her washed up on the shore
He kissed her cold face, and that they'd be together soon he swore
I saw him crying, watched as he buried her in the sand
Then he climbed my tower, and off the edge of me he ran

And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be

I am a lighthouse worn by the weather and the waves
And though I'm empty I still warn the sailors on their way
